Hi there and welcome to my website which is dedicated to the art of modelling sci-fi subjects. On the biography page is some info on me , who I am and where I'm coming from. The workbench page features my current 'work in progress' projects, some of which have been long term and I bet I'm not the only one who starts a kit and then puts it to one side for quite a while. The future projects page features what is basically my collection of models AKA 'the stash'. Then the gallery will be a showcase for my completed projects of which will feature mainly star trek and star wars models. Alex's stuff is a page dedicated to my son who is into WARHAMMER 40,000 and is building a space marines army. Alongside that I am building a Dark Eldar army to take out his pesky space marines. Finally the links page has links to my favourite sites.
I hope you enjoy my website and comeback soon as I am constantly updating with new content and info and if you want to contact me, then post a message here.
Well my competition entry will not be ready...pity. The reason....I'm off to sunny Iraq for a 4 month detachment Which has come up sooner than expected. So please look at the updated competition entry page here. See you all in 4 months.
Now that the SFM:UK competition is under way I have finalised my ideas for my entry (first one at least). My two donor kits are the revell/monogram Babylon 5 Starfury and an airfix search and rescue sea king. Both kits are in 1/72 scale, for more details go here. Well, modelling has been a bit stop go of late. Some of the stuff I wanted to get done over the Xmas period didn't work out. What I have done is more Warhammer 40K stuff than anything. I have built two space marine attack bikes, a squad of five new assault marines. Also I have done a complete strip, repair and rebuild of a Dark Eldar Raider that bought real cheap from eBay. It looks good now it's repaired and built properly, all that's left is to scratch build a couple of bits that were missing. I'm now in the planning stage for a model building contest for the SFM:UK site. Details are here, and promises to be a well subscribed competition of which I hope to have two entries. I will update my site as soon as my first entry goes into the build stage. UPDATE: I've just updated the workbench for the fell beast and witch king to include a shot of one the new model bases I got recently. the bases are made of oak and at around 5 1/4" and cost £2.99. P.S. Father Xmas brought me a Fine Molds slave 1 kit which so sweet and a re-released amt/ertl large scale x-wing fighter. Just gotta work on getting a Fine Molds millenium falcon next Xmas especially given the high quality of the Fine Molds kits.
I have finally made some progress to the Future Projects page so go and have a look. there's lots more to go but I should have this page fully updated by the end of the Xmas holidays. Also I have updated the workbench page with the defiant project and pictures of the panel line scribing done so far. Well, I managed to get something useful done. I finally got my spray paint booth built today so i can start spraying aerosols and using my airbrush safely. I just need to do a couple of cosmetic touch-ups but it is functional. It cost me less than £20 and the cooker extractor hood was a freebie.
